Susan Z is truly a multitalented artist with an impressive
and extensive portfolio to prove it. Susan's experience in front of
audiences and the camera consists of musical theater, film, television,
video and of-course, rock and roll. While we were working on her first CD
"Believe" (pictured here) Susan was performing in a Berkeley
Repertory Production of the musical "The Birds" in southern
California. Susan had to travel back and forth from L.A. to complete the
CD and then, shortly after the CD's completion, she landed the lead role
as Maria in the musical, West Side Story, with the highly acclaimed summer
series Mountain Play atop Mt. Tamalpais. Susan shows great range as a songwriter, weaving this album together with both deeply personal songs, and straight ahead rock and groove oriented pop songs.
