This native of New York city has some things on her mind, and she does not hesitate to get right to the point with this self-titled debut album Nefertiti Jones. With an intensity similar to Alannis Morrisette, Nefertiti created hooky pop tunes that tore into issues of heartache, betrayal and even the difficult subject matter of a woman having an abortion. Nefertiti takes on these issues with class and good songwriting which led her to be another of the 1998 Lilith Fair Contest winners. She has been featured on VH-1 and was signed to Du Nord Records in San Francisco.
